Here are some quite funny wedding photos that are worth remembering.

I found a few Google Gadgets that are wedding-themed that you might want to take a look at. Feel free to add them to your website or your Google homepage.
The first one of these that I found was called My Photos but it has since been moved or deleted, I'm not sure. It rarely works for me right now. The standard disclaimer applies to these tools as they are related to the keyword "wedding" but might not be what everyone is looking for.
The traditional wedding cake is a standard staple that will assumably be seen at every reception. However, due possibly in part to the new show on the Food Network called Ace of Cakes and the growing popularity of cake blogs, engaged couples are seeking originality. It is becoming common knowledge that it is possible to have a beautiful sculpted cake in the shape of almost anything you want. That is, for the right price.

The traditional folkish saying that our business name is based on is also the title of a book written by Leslie Jones and published by McGraw-Hill. You can see more information about this book at their web site, Happy Is the Bride the Sun Shines On.
The book is a great coffee table addition chock full of folklore surrounding weddings and bridal traditions. Here is a snippet of the description from their site.
Far beyond the well tread "something borrowed, something blue" and typical bridal bouquet toss, there are hundreds of lesser known but fascinating customs and beliefs that play a special role in weddings worldwide. Happy Is the Bride the Sun Shines On is a charming collection of unique nuptial traditions and superstitions.
From the excerpt available on Amazon.com, it seems to be equal parts history, folklore and anecdotes. I very much want to carry this book in our store, not only because the name matches our domain, but because it's exactly the right fit for what we want to sell.
I'm putting it on my to do list. But until I find a supplier, be sure to get the best price from one of the links above. You can also find the book on Google Book Search.
Proper skin care preparation for your big day and honeymoon is very important.
I confess: I spent more money on skin care and cosmetics than I did on my wedding dress. Before the big day, I couldn't pass a drugstore skin care display or department-store cosmetics counter without picking up some version of what a doyenne of beauty once called 'hope in a jar.' The habit got so expensive, I probably should have registered for skin care and cosmetics at the Chanel counter instead of sheets and towels at Bed Bath & Beyond. And on my wedding day, I was wearing so much eye makeup (they tell you to glop it on for the wedding photos), I could barely blink without stinging tears falling to my cheeks. Fortunately, everyone assumed it was the emotion of the moment, rather than the irritants in the mascara, that choked me up.

For my wedding ring, I did not want something overly fancy or flashy. I'm a traditional and simple kind of guy. However, the options today for men in this department has been greatly expanded and it is nice to have many new options.
It wasn't too long ago that the selection of wedding rings for men in jewelry stores was limited to gold and platinum wedding bands. Nowadays, the selection of men's wedding rings is just as varied as those for women. The reason behind the big switch is demand. More and more men are opting for more than a traditional wedding band. If you hadn't considered more than a plain wedding band, the following information about what is now available for men may offer you an alternative.
Probably the most widespread change in the wedding band that you can choose is the type of metal. Gold and platinum are no longer the only choices you have for a wedding band. There is also Tungsten, two-toned gold, stainless steel, and titanium....

MOGADISHU (Reuters) - Women decked out in brightly colored gowns, gold jeweler and elaborate hairstyles dance with men to the slow tunes of Somali love songs.
A pianist, guitarist and female singer entertain the crowd packed into a small, stuffy hall for a wedding reception.
Such a scene would have been unthinkable in Mogadishu just months ago when a hardline Muslim movement ruled the seaside capital and much of southern Somalia, imposing sharia law and shutting down many forms of entertainment seen as un-Islamic.>
